“We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed).”

“I booked the hotel after reading that Bath was a 20minute walk away (my wife uses sticks to support walking). Imagine our surprise when it is actually a 50minute walk. The duty manager did tell us it was about a 45 minute walk. All the staff were polite and helpful. The ‘lodge’ room was cosy (read small) but it had everything you needed. “We went with our children, who are 5 and 2. The family room we stayed at was big and spacious, so was the bathroom. All beds were comfortable, and they even had a cot ready for our 2yo. The children had a blast playing at the large play area while seeing the goats and alpacas. Breakfast was included and it was pretty good. The only downside was that, even though they have wifi, we had no signal in our room, so we could only go online (wifi or otherwise) at the restaurant and common areas.”

“El personal da un trato excelente. El hotel está muy bien situado para ir y venir al aeropuerto (la parada del bus A1 está en la puerta). Como punto negativo, la habitación estaba helada al llegar, no estaba puesto el aire acondicionado. Lo pusimos nosotros pero al ser ya las 9 de la noche a la llegada, tardó mucho en calentarse la habitación y pasamos algo de frío al irnos a la cama y no vimos mantas extra en el armario.”
