“The beds were amazing”

“A minor mistake made while booking turned my experience into a complete nightmare. Because of my dyslexia I booked Friday night instead of Saturday night (made the booking the night before, on Thursday). I got an email on Friday asking me how my stay was going, and I realised a mistake had been made. I then spent three hours (!) on the phone trying to resolve the situation, going round the houses. “We were surprised to be told that the kitchen was closed that evening due to an illness of the chef when our dinner reservation was accepted that afternoon by the receptionist. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a bar, but the white wine was undrinkable. The continental breakfast was of a poor standard.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. “The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
