Fabulous hotel just off the sea front in Clacton with off street parking. My room was large and well furnished. Bed was so comfy and the bedding was crisp and white. Bathroom was big as well with a lovely selection of toiletries and big fluffy towels. I had cooked breakfast which was freshly made to order and delicious. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and proud of their hotel. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This place is a gem. The owners are warm, welcoming and very helpful, and so are the rest of the staff. The place is reminiscent of the best of a traditional guest house, but with a modern clean feel. The amenities in the room were plentiful, and with the guests’ comfort in mind. The extra touches were much appreciated, as was the cleanliness and cotton sheets. The breakfast room is bright and airy, with white linen table cloths and pretty china. The breakfast is generous and good. The hotel is only a short walk from the seafront, and also from the town. I stayed four nights in a street-facing room. There was some street noise, but not excessive, and it was quiet after about 11pm. There is no lift/elevator, but I noticed there were ground level rooms for those with mobility issues. I will definitely book the Chudleigh again when I next visit friends and family in the Clacton area.

Female solo traveller, stayed 5 nights, had a wonderful time, everything was perfect, felt safe and welcome, such a lovely vibe, so chill and stress free. All the staff and the owners are all professional and easy to talk to. The breakfast was outstanding and comprehensive, delicious and plentiful. The room was like coming home :) clean, comforting and every amenity was provided for. Generous supplies in the room and exquisite bed linen. I booked to return while I was there! Special mention to the lovely Amy <3

Went to Clacton on Sea to visit family and stayed one night at this lovely hotel. The owners were unbelievably friendly and have been in business since 1963. I’ve never seen such a beautiful clean bathroom and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. The breakfast was included and was unbelievable homemade with such an incredible amount of items to choose from and delicious. Apparently the owner cooks it up himself. . I parked right outside the door, which was amazing and very safe and secure as you have your own key to get in at night two doors in the front— the room was spotless. There were some nice touches also. Very nice bath gel.. a very, very hot shower if you wanted it. Water in the fridge even a welcome chocolate bar.. do not hesitate to stay here if you are in town. I will definitely be visiting again.!
