“Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.”

“A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with an excellent spa. The facilities in the spa are first rate and the opening times mean you can make the most of this during your stay. I also liked the fact you could get ready in your room and had the rooms and flip flops there ready for you. Our room was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean. Only downside was breakfast. “This was my first trip alone. Sadly my husband passed away in December. Whilst dining I was sat next to a couple who were given preferential treatment. I was feeling quite vulnerable anyway and was just ignored. Everyone should receive the same treatment. Also my meal was very poor.”

“A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom.”

“This is a great place to stay. Beautiful building and grounds. Friendly staff, good cafe and comfortable bed. Great location for local walks. WiFi hit and miss so no TV for the England game 😉 but wouldn't have bothered us otherwise. Thank you for a nice overnight stay.”

“This was my first solo trip on my birthday, and the staff were very helpful and kind, and the room was wonderfully cosy. I would highly recommend anyone going, and I will be returning again soon. The hotel is literally in the heart of Bakewell and close to Chatsworth House. Parking: I would recommend going to the bridge car park nearby, as it has overnight parking and reasonable priced.”
