“This is a lovely little pub the grounds are well kept but unfortunately our bathroom was extremely damp and the smell was unbearable, we called reception and they came and sprayed in there but there was definitely an underlying issue going on as there was a big damp patch on the ceiling, there was also lots of cobwebs in the bedroom, the shower had very little power, the good points are the carpet was lovely and soft, the tv had a good signal, there was a mini fridge and tea & coffee making...

“We've stayed at Holiday Inn Express before and always been very happy. This was no exception. The staff were polite and helpful. The rooms are clean with good bedding and pillows. The bathroom is well laid out with a very good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice. When we take short breaks or need a stopover we always look for a Holiday Inn Express as a firstvchoice if possible.”

“Being from the hospitality industry, I am not easily wowed but I have to say, the staff and service was wonderful, genuine and warm. Clean rooms, comfy beds, all expected amenities working and I enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. I stay here whenever I'm in the area as there's always a warm welcome.”

“The staff are very helpful and parking behind pub very good. . Food to a high standard. Room was very comfortable with a large shower as requested. I am unable to use a bath so requested a shower due to my lack of mobility. The room had tea and coffee facilities and towels, robes and slippers BUT the bed, although comfortable, was extremely low. Apparently all the beds are the same height according to a member of staff. It caused a real problem in the night as I had to wake my husband twice...

“My brother and I have the same initial and surname. We both booked rooms for one night. I booked the last room with air conditioning. I emailed them 48 hours prior to arrival reminding them not to confuse us and to give me the aircon room I had booked and paid for. BUT they gave him the room instead of me.!! When I pointed out the mistake, the manager suggested I get my brother to pack up his stuff and move to the room they’d given me. I pointed out to the manager that it is bad practice to give...
