“The staff was very helpful. It was a stormy afternoon when we arrived. The hotel is right by the Shirahama beach( 2 minutes’ walk). Our room was on the top floor with ocean view, and we could see the sunrise and watch the surfers catching the waves. There is a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby. The room was very spacious. If you booked a Japanese-style room, you have to make your futon bed yourself. The futon was very comfortable !!! I didn’t get a chance to use the onsen as I have a tattoo, but...

“Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view.”

“Wonderful stay at a quiet hotel in Shimoda. A little dated and a little far away from the main town but beautiful views, helpful and friendly staff and an amazing ocean view onsen. My partner and I got a traditional Japanese room which was very spacious and comfortable.”

“Great for family travel, good for solo travel. It's about a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and station so it's in a quieter spot with great view of the water. Best for longer, relaxed stays.”

“Increíble vista y comodidad, el personal súper amable y atento, comida deliciosa y onsen privado extremadamente bueno”

“I did not read anywhere that there is a curfew and you must be in your room by 2400. Also, there was a water spill in my room and also the front desk personnel need to have a little more people skills. The maid tried to open my door without knocking also, luckly I had it double bolt. Overall, for the price not a good experience. Oh and also I was charged a small hotel fee upon check out and that was not disclosed before either. ”

“電話問い合わせしました。 金額はロビーに来てからと、金額確定前に個人情報の記載を求められました。まだ合意まえなのにと思いました。 冷蔵庫には前の客残した食べかけが残っており、気分は最悪。スタッフも謝ったりしません。悲しかったです。安いのでこんなもんかと納得はしてます。”

“Can I give this hotel 10 stars? Amazing ocean view. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Lovely town. Cherry blossoms. Highly recommend ”

“Absolutely lovely. Felt like I was staying with family. Quick walk to the gorgeous beach, next to a beautiful shrine, and a short walk from a delicious Ramen place. Not to mention the Onsen!!! What a magical experience it was to enjoy the outdoors and soak. And last but not least the breakfast! Felt like my mom made me lunch for the day. Absolutely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.”
