“We loved our stay here. It was just what we needed a wholesome family night away. The food was amazing, the views spectacular and our cottage was very cute, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Definitely highly recommend.”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“We had a fantastic stay at The Family Tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing! Just a few minutes’ drive from the Tramway Museum, or a lovely 40-minute walk along the canal to the Hurt Arms in Ambergate. In the end, we were sorry that we were only staying the one night; wish we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Derbyshire!”

“The room itself is good but basic, was fine for a one night stopover. Self check-in on a tablet. The kettle in the room leaked when we filled it and covered the table in water. The refill station in the check in area for tea & coffee had run out of milk portions with a note saying sorry. We booked a meal in the pub but unfortunately they had run out of all the grill options including steaks, burgers, chicken wings. We had called ahead from Bakewell to book the table 20 minutes previously and...

“Nice setting,friendly staff.What I didn't like that the full English breakfast was over cooked the fried egg was hard ,the black pudding and hash browns were rock hard and had no moisture in them There was no marmalade to go with the toast.”

“The room, a junior suite, was most comfortable but sadly lacking in air-conditioning, although the current heat wave has been exceptional. Lovely views, peaceful, apart from the noise of the butterflies, all that one could wish for. For the price the owners may want to consider replacing the square of soap with refillable pump dispensers and providing a loo brush! We had an enjoyable dinner served by the very friendly staff and were delighted to have our breakfast served, not a buffet,...
