Room was very clean & spacious. Breakfast was delicious & included in the overnight rate. Evening meal from adjacent pub was excellent & reasonably priced. I will say my phone died & the directions / loss of sat nav made it a bit tricky to find. Definitely head for South Wingfield.
Very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Good shower in the en-suite and a/c worked well. Only issue was noise from a wedding party on our first night - but incredibly quiet on our second.
The property and the rooms were very spacious. Clean and well maintained.
We got a deal on the room, but the restauarant waa very slow, understaffed and no adults working.
Again breakfast was very slow
Room was lovely great view bed comfortable very clean and bathroom was really nice .breakfast was great and we had a lovely evening meal.staff very friendly.
This is a nice place far enough from the main roads to feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. There is a good pub/restaurant attached. The rooms are very nice with top quality furniture.
Had a fantastic stay, had everything we needed and the pub and restaurant was excellent. A special mention to the staff who were brilliant. Thank you for looking after us!
Lovely place. Restaurant is very nice. Close to Bakewell, get a pudding... So amazing, prefer it to the tart. The hotel breakfast is fantastic and staff are lovely. Blue light discount too.

The property was just lovely the breakfast was yum the staff were all helpful and polite.
What truly let the experience down was, The room really needs the furniture re-varnishing it was really worn and scratched truly let the room down. Also the lamps are not bright enough the room was really dark and there was no lamp on the dressing table ?? There are ceiling lights but these were too bright and ruined the ambience. The carpets are really in need of a good clean throughout. Real Shame about these issues. Room 102
Everything about the stay, the room, staff, cleanliness were excellent. The evening meal was also very good and well priced. They only small remark is lack of options for the evening meal, however as noted we really enjoyed what we had. The thing that was not up to scratch I am sorry to say was the full English cooked breakfast. Not very generous. Sausage and beans cold, had to send back. When returned they were hit but the rest had gone cold. The sausage was vile. Genuinely Sorry to report that. The rest could not be faulted.

Nice clean room, warm bathroom (makes a change). Staff were very polite and helpful.
Good food as well.
We stayed for one night and had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is set in a peaceful location, with comfortable beds, friendly staff, easy parking, and a good breakfast to start the day. The only drawbacks were the thin walls and the lack of direct access to the main building, which could be inconvenient on rainy or cold mornings. Still, it’s a solid choice for a quiet and comfortable stay.
