“We stay here when we visit family and always chose the spa bath rooms, we love the room and it’s clean, warm, well equipped and very comfortable. The only negative we found this time was the room has started to look in need of a refresh. The walls are marked, there was damage to the mirror, canvas, frame on bathroom window. This is no reflection on the hotel it’s clearly been disrespectful customers but it does spoil the room a little as it’s always been immaculate. We will still be back as...

“We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. “Loved out stay at this hotel and restaurant on our final day in the Lakes. We stayed in Scafell Pike with the only negative being the room was very hot (we stayed in late Aug). We would definitely stay there again. ”
