“A very cute place to stay in a lovely market town. Parking nearby (free on Sundays and overnight). Access to the rooms, due to the nature of the historic building, is not the easiest (uneven floors, narrow corridors and stairs). “Being from the hospitality industry, I am not easily wowed but I have to say, the staff and service was wonderful, genuine and warm. Clean rooms, comfy beds, all expected amenities working and I enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. I stay here whenever I'm in the area as there's always a warm welcome.”

“Reception was an easy check in, no lift to second floor, no help with suitcase. Room was spacious and had everything I needed fan iron tea making things (no dcaff options). Breakfast was basic again no dcaff options (i did ask for dcaff t bags and was told on order) they never appeared, gluten free options very basic no GF bread, the sausage were not nice, menu choices for dinner again very poor I had chips because only option, all staff were lovely. “Easy parking. Check-in was a breeze. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant was sublime (and I have a very fussy partner so trust me on this). The room exceeded expectations and thoughtful little niceties like sweets and luxurious ample bathroom additions and slippers/bathrobes. We were a little late down for the 10am finish for the Continental breakfast, but not made to feel rushed at all. In fact the lovely Manager Jacey was warm and chatty. Highly recommend for value,...
