“The car GPS wasn't very good but I managed to use the directions on my phone. The rooms are across the road from the actual hotel. The food was really tasty especially the Full English breakfast which was inclusive. The Accessible room was very comfortable& the wet room was great, just what I needed. Definitely recommend this place.”

“The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. “Pretty poor - hotel from the outside looks old & tired, not going to win any architectural prizes let’s say. Good points - room air con was decent and plenty of free parking spaces which while it’s a bit out of the city centre is still decent for York. Bad points - holes in the bed linen, tiny bathroom & big hole in the tiles behind the shower tap & also carpet was quite heavily stained.
