The pub itself was good for food competitively priced, which can be ordered thru the app (along with drinks) The drinks we had an issue with - there were drinks on the app that weren’t available at the bar, the glasses had lipstick marks on them so washing is an issue & we were served a Fentiman’s Dandelion & Burdock drink 6 months out of date so stock rotation is a problem here. “The whole hotel needs a revamp. Thread bare carpets, beds so uncomfortable very thin mattress, no heating in bathroom, poor choice of breakfast, staff unhelpful and always absent from their stations. This hotel has previously been given 4 stars which it definitely does not deserve. Will not be staying again. Noise at night from wedding parties.”

“Very clean room and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Shower is a bit of a dribble and you need to bring your own soap or shower gel. No breakfast but there's options just around the corner. A great pub with lots of beers on offer from their own brewery. I'd happily go back.”

“The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work. Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival. “We stayed one night for a wedding party. Room was clean and comfortable and staff friendly and welcoming. Nice breakfast the following morning with good choices. Only downside was the road noise which was constant all night so you need earplugs. Other than that nice place.”
