“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”

It was showing some signs of 'old age' with a bit of plaster coming off the ceiling and dated furniture but the hotel is undergoing a lot of refurbishment and modern furniture would probably not be in keeping in an older building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as was the bar facilities. The restaurant was pleasant and the menu typical Greene King.
