“We paid for a suite - from the photos - we were expecting a roll top bath in the room. What we got was a small bath in a mouldy shower room with a couple of plastic cups, a capsule of long life milk and a mattress that probably predated the hotel. Staff were kind and friendly but clearly exhausted. The hotel room price did not represent good value for money - it’s possible we bought during a busy season. If the room had cost £80-90, I wouldn’t have taken the time to be critical. I don’t...

“I really enjoyed my stay here. There were biscuits and fresh milk which was a lovely treat! The radio was a nice touch and the TV had access to Netflix and YouTube. WiFi connection was a bit hot and miss but wasn't a massive issue. The bed was very comfy. I felt very relaxed staying here. I will definitely visit again!”

“Awful service from bar and restaurant staff. Place is in desperate need of refurbishment as walls are cracked, water stained and falling apart. Was told to take a seat for dinner in an empty dining room and so I sat for 15 minutes in the empty dining room for dinner and didn’t get served, so walked out. Ignored at the bar when checking in. Breakfast offering was good. Plenty of hot and cold choices.”

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”
