“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. “La estancia fue perfecta.la habitación grande con un buen baño. El servicio impecable; de hecho tuvimos un problema con la tv que no funcionaba y el propio hotel, sin reclamación previa por nuestra parte, nos ofreció una compensación. Una forma de actuar muy honesta y un ejemplo a seguir.”

“Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up”

“Was a big scare when we reached the apartment and found out this was no one there for check in & no instruction sent before our arrival. In this remote location, the mobile connection is bad and I luckily able connected to WiFi in an indian Resturant. Found an old email thread, replied to it and luckily i received a Uk phone number to call for self check in instruction. Felt quite worried at the beginning with my wife and boys and about where we sleep . Not a good experience ”

“Lovely hotel, staff were fantastic and room was cleaned to an okay standard. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned, tea/coffee not replenished, no fresh towels, toilet rolls not replenished resulting in me having to call reception for more. That was the only downside to the stay”

“Me alojé durante tres días con mi pareja en el hotel Holiday Inn Corby y al segundo día (después de la primera limpieza) nos dimos cuenta de que a cada uno nos faltaban 50€ y 20€ respectivamente. Sabíamos perfectamente donde lo habíamos guardado porque no podíamos utilizarlo en Reino Unido y lo dejamos en la habitación dentro de las maletas (cerradas ambas) para cuando volviésemos a España. El dinero al final es lo de menos por la cantidad que supuso, pero lo peor fue la falta de atención que...
