“Staff very friendly and helpful. Room had all the amenities expected. With comfortable bed and thick towels. Only problem encountered were the very steep and curved stairs but in such a lovely place this is to be expected”

“Lovely location outside Salisbury in Broad Chalke, The Queens Head has great staff and the rooms were comfortable and well kept. I wish their menu had more options, we had dinner last night, the venison was not tender at all, they even forgot half the meal, the salads that were meant to accompany them, mediocre at best . But can’t always expect excellence all the time.”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “We were booked to stay for 3 days the staff were polite and friendly but our experience wasn't great to be honest the place looks tired and rundown they shut the bar early the 1st night we arrived due to lack of customers we were told ....we also had no idea it was being used for accommodating people who looked like asylum seekers ...there were possessions stacked outside the stairs to our accomodation and people loading vans for most of the time we stayed including in the middle of the night...

“The property was very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Just a couple of observations . If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . It would be great value & a positive accolade for a simple continental breakfast to be included in the nightly rate instead of...
