“First the positives. Helpful cheerful staff and good facilities: dining room and bar were nicely decorated and set out. The food served at breakfast was very good. Location of hotel is perfect for exploring Bakewell town centre, which is beautiful. Negatives. We had a room in the annexe across the road. “My wife & I stayed at the Beeley Inn last night, everything about the stay was really good from the check in, the outdoor drinking areas, the dinner and the breakfast. The room was not massive but it was absolutely fine. The staff were always very friendly and polite. Definitely worth another trip. The breakfast was superb.”

“3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked...

“The property was in the least to say grubby and I shudder to think what the hotel inspector with white gloves on the tv would make of the hotel The front of house personal wore the same clothes for the duration of our stay and everything she did seemed to be an effort”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“When I arrived I was shown to my room by the owner who was very friendly, but as soon as we entered the room she noticed the bathroom was flooded. She explained that one of the staff members had been fiddling with a pressure reducing valve and it must have caused the shower to run with the door open. They cleared the water up, but the carpet was wet through by the bathroom door and the room smelt damp all night. Next morning I went to breakfast an hour before I needed to leave. I waited 45...

“The location is wonderful and it was very quiet at night. However, there was a bright light close to the window and no black-out curtains, so too light in the room for my liking. The breakfast was nice, but the poached egg was overcooked. The scrambled eggs looked nice though. Staff were very friendly.”
