“There was nothing we didn't like about the Hotel. The whole hotel has had a massive upgrade / renovation and for the cost of the accommodation, it represents top value.
We ate at the restaurant , ( reluctantly ) after reading some less favorable reviews , and decided the reviewers, who had left those reviews must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. The food was delicious. The staff were really friendly , helpful, and seemed to care. If they didn't care they made a very good job of...

“If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”

“The only satisfactory feature was the restaurant à la carte food for dinner. The room was very poor for a Wyndham property. There was dirt and stains in the room walls, the cleanliness of the sheets was questionable, the bathroom walls were dirty, the tub caulking was poorly done and very grimy, the floor tile grout was dirty/stained around the tub, the bed creaked with the slightest movement, the provided glasses were covered in fingerprints, and the tea kettle had not been cleaned in some...

“Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre.
We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good.”
