The hotel was previously a run down property which has undergone a complete refurbishment by it new owners. Opened in September 2024 I was one of only a very small handful of clients that evening. The hotel served mainly Indian food but wow the meal I had was superb and obviously cooked by a chief with great experience . The rooms themselves were serviceable, neat but lacked the quality to make it a premium hotel. Would I stay again, yes and try another great meal.

Comfy bed and close to train station

Newly refurbished room, but... the TV didn't work because you needed to sign in to Apps and WiFi signal was poor. The noise from the toilets were ridiculously loud and different ones going all night long. There are only ceiling lights, so really bright, no side lamps/lights. The place was clean, comfy bed and gpod location for train into Cardiff.

It is located right at a Corner with only 1 crossing around the corner. It is heavely trafficed. A store next door to buy food for so you have something to eat in the morning til Lunch.A Chinese take away close and cheap. You get no Breakfast included. The heat is turned off at latest 20:00 and norhing til from 9:00 or sometimes later after ive left. Steep small stairs. But you get help of friendly staff. I liked Millie very much.Good Dinner.

We booked four nights but checked out after the first night due to a lack of sleep. While the hotel has potential with its great location, comfortable mattresses, and updated bathroom fixtures, the overall experience did not match the price point. Potential guests should note a few important factors before booking: 1) Room Comfort: The room has basic, budget-style furnishings. There was no towel rack, only one towel was provided, and the pillows were uncomfortable. The hot water pot was placed on a stand on the floor. 2) Summer Heat and Noise: There is no air conditioning. We had to keep the windows open for airflow during 20°C weather. This let in significant road noise and bright outside light, making sleep very difficult. 3) Amenities: Contrary to some online information, breakfast is not available at this property. 4) Staffing: There was no apparent staff presence overnight, raising safety and support concerns. Please be aware that booking modifications can be very difficult. When we chose to check out early due to the conditions, we were unable to secure a partial refund from either the property or the platform. Book only if you are comfortable with a basic, self-service stay.
