“Yes, these rooms are above a pub but you can’t hear any noise. The appointments were like that of a luxury hotel. The staff worked behind the bar at the pub for the most part and they were extremely responsive to any request. Not sure many tourists find their way to this particular town, but if you’re anywhere near Scarborough, this is the place to stay.”

“The whole set up at Bay Filey is great with plenty of facilites such as the shop, pharmacy and pub. The kids enjoyed the pool and we did a few walks which was lovely including along the beach to Filey town. I know the world costs have gone up however, it's a shame the pub charges high amounts for beer and main meals as the food is very nice. A little lower and more people would come in.”

“Great stay, clean room with all the facilities you need. Friendly staff and great breakfast. On street parking right outside the hotel (£5 for a 2 night stay) Would happily stay there again.”

“Absolutely perfect stay, from arrival, excellent breakfast, super comfy bed, good for parking, lovely staff, couldn't fault anything”

“Really lovely beachfront property with a balcony over the beach. Check in was easy as was parking and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It’s a great location and the apartments are really nice. Would recommend.”

“Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the top Chef leaving. Expedia knew this and didn’t get back in touch with me to let me know or send me an email very disappointed in Expedia .The couple who run the establishment are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent.”

“Lovely clean room with comfy bed. Great choice for breakfast all cooked to order. Plenty of parking spaces. Bus stop straight outside was handy to get into town and then a 5 minute taxi drive back. Stayed here last two years and will definitely be back next year.”

“Nobody at property on arrival, place locked up in darkness and nobody answering the phone. left several voicemails but to date (5 days later) still no response. Worst holiday experience we have ever had; long distance travelled to find no accommodation. Not what you need after a long day and the stress of having to find an alternative place to stay in the middle of half term week and everywhere else is fully booked.”

“Location is great - short walk into town and just across the road is a lovely woodland for walks in the shadow of the castle and access to the North York’s Moors is very close. Accommodation layout really good for a social gathering - very clean and well equipped including books and games etc ”

“Apartment very nice. Cleanliness could be better lots if dust, toilet brush extremely dirty, actually gross. Shower screen leaking water on to floor. Communal area tired and needs a revamp and cleaned.”

“This is a great place to stay, this was our second visit, I think it's location is great, 5 mins to the town centre. Does have a bit of a hill to climb back up to the house, which could be a negative for some. The property is modern and clean, will definitely stay again ”
