“Wifi didn't work at my room at all, nice hotel with very good restaurant but nowadays good WIFI quality is a must, in a business trip very needed. Personally I found the mattress too soft.”

“Immaculate room and very spacious with comfy big arm chairs. Bathroom was spotless too and shower lovely and roomy. Breakfast and dinners were delicious!! The pancakes came with loads of yummy bacon and plenty maple syrup! The fish and chips were plentiful, steak pie was hearty and filling! Will be back!”

“A fab place! :)”

“El hotel está súper bonito, súper buena ubicación, solo que nos tocó un cuarto sin aire, nos prestaron un ventilador pero teníamos que dormir con la ventana abierta, mucho ruido afuera, el personal del restaurante y del bar muy bien, pero de recepción no fue el mejor! Los cuartos están muy bonitos!”

“My experience at this hotel was disappointing. I chose it for one specific reason: the pool and spa, so I could enjoy some time with my 3-year-old son. But when we went to the area, we were told that children are not allowed. This crucial restriction, which should be clearly stated at the time of booking, completely undermined the purpose of our stay. The rooms are basic and dated. The mattress was so soft it affected the quality of sleep, and the overall condition of the accommodation feels...

“Excelente hotel. Una sorpresa en el pequeño pueblo de Bury St Edmunds la limpieza, el cuarto y el desayuno. Muy recomendable. ”

“Beatiful building and setting. Excellent staff. Food 7/10. Its classical which is fine but maybe uninteresting.”

“Very comfortable twin beds with ensuite shower, toilet and sink. Excellent location for town centre. No food served in pub but instead we were directed to sister pub Mason's Arms and had an excellent meal. Breakfast served at 8am. We considered our stay to be comfortable and pleasant, value for money. Would book again.”

“Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.”

“Lovely evening and the lovely bit that served in the restaurant was fab.”

“These comments are not for publication but rather for Expedia to consider how they rate the Inn. When we arrived at 8.30pm the Car Park was full, so it was a surprise that no-one was in pub. We never saw another guest during our stay. It felt that the business was struggling. A bit too quiet. Staff were ok. Room facilities were ok including a very comfortable large bed. A little disappointed that we had to ask for the heating to be put on in the room after we arrived. The heating had not gone...

“A very enjoyable 2 night stay. Pleasant locaton, very helpful and polite staff and very enjoyable food. Only comment is that the roomwas really too small to have a king sized bed. Recomended.”

“Clean and comfortable with very good food and a warm welcome from the owner. Plenty of on site parking.”

“Due to a VRBO double booking, this was a last-minute booking @ around 6:30pm. They welcomed us in with open arms and made the stay most enjoyable. Glad we got double-booked!”
