“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really.”

“The restaurant was closed. Ni one answered the phone. Curtains didn’t fully shut. No soap. Cold shower in morning. No one manning breakfast. Had to knock on staff door to get tea. Guy hadn’t a clue even put the milk in the teapot. Continental breakfast just had a few children’s type cereal toast bowl of fruit yogurt. No milk out to have on cereal. Had to chase that up. One guest had slug in bedroom. Another bought their own bits in to have with breakfast”

“Great location for attempting The Three Peaks Challenge (hiking possible straight from the premises’ car park). Really friendly staff, attentive and very helpful. Cheap and cheerful accommodation - don’t forget that the price includes continental breakfast, which is more than generous - so a real bargain. Perhaps a small waste bin in the rooms and a hook on the back of the toilet door would help. Rooms were very clean and tidy but the Inn itself could perhaps be a little cleaner (the windows,...
