Location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the amenities in town and being next to the canal made for a pleasant walk. Room was overlooking the canal which I asked for, it did the job required, bed was comfortable and shower was excellent. We stayed on a BnB tariff, breakfast was varied and decent although tinned tomatoes and mushrooms are a let down but that is a personal choice.

A lovely place with a lovely welcome. The staff throughout were polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and a stones throw from the canal and the park. It's only a short walk to town too. The food was excellent with lots of choice especially at breakfast. They even brought my dog her own sausage. Spotlessly clean and tidy. No air con but there was a large fan in the room. Beautiful outdoor court yard where people could dine if they wanted. I'll definately return.

The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. The lunchtime sharing boards are brilliant. We loved the location, especially the short walk along the canal into town. The only downside was the lack of a lift. I've been told to pack less for next time!!
