“Staff were super friendly. There’s a £30 surcharge for a dog but for that he got a super comfy bed and bowl which made his stay a real treat. Didn’t get a chance to use pool but did walk around the very pleasant grounds. When we arrived we were concerned that with two events going on we might not get much sleep however the soundproofing was excellent, didn’t disturb us at all. Room in the Mansion House was clean and well appointed with a lovely super king bed. Breakfast good and plentiful...

“There was a wedding happening on arrival, which was fine, but the party spilled over onto my floor and kept going until 2am. Had I been aware I wouldn't have booked the room or been certain that I had a quiet area of the hotel. Overall the hotel is nice, but it there are some underlying maintenance issues that need to be addressed.”

“The room was very clean and well appointed. The only drawback was that there was no lounge for seating. If you didn’t want to sit in your room, which was small but adequate, you had to go to the restaurant. This was not ideal for travellers spending several days there. The restaurant and staff were very good. The food delicious and well prepared. Parking was fine, there was plenty for residents. I must give a shout out to the staff we encountered at the Ely. “A wonderful hotel with serene green spaces in a royal atmosphere. I had to work overnight and the gentleman at night desk went above and beyond to help me with an additional TV screen and a place to work at. Simply unbelievably helpful and way beyond my expectations. My wife and kid had a great time in the gardens. I highly recommend this place if you´re out to get some relaxation.”

“The setting for this hotel is exceptional- directly overlooking the Thames and open countryside. The hotel is conveniently situated, only a ten minute walk from the station and five minutes walk from the High Street. Lovely room, spotlessly clean, wonderful pool and good breakfast. Would highly recommend.”
