“Lifts weren’t working and the room was tiny with a sloping roof - not good for the money paid! The bathroom was also small with the mirror on the sloping roof! Useless! Grand impressive hotel but probably wouldn’t return Disappointed Receptionist was very helpful”

“The room was very clean and well appointed. The only drawback was that there was no lounge for seating. If you didn’t want to sit in your room, which was small but adequate, you had to go to the restaurant. This was not ideal for travellers spending several days there. The restaurant and staff were very good. The food delicious and well prepared. Parking was fine, there was plenty for residents. I must give a shout out to the staff we encountered at the Ely. “A wonderful hotel with serene green spaces in a royal atmosphere. I had to work overnight and the gentleman at night desk went above and beyond to help me with an additional TV screen and a place to work at. Simply unbelievably helpful and way beyond my expectations. My wife and kid had a great time in the gardens. I highly recommend this place if you´re out to get some relaxation.”

“The setting for this hotel is exceptional- directly overlooking the Thames and open countryside. The hotel is conveniently situated, only a ten minute walk from the station and five minutes walk from the High Street. Lovely room, spotlessly clean, wonderful pool and good breakfast.
