“Bedroom really needs updating and TLC. Carpet was marked and mattress saggy and uncomfortable. Bath panel needs repainting. Very weird door in bedroom that when opened had a duvet hanging between our door and the one immediately behind. Beautiful old building but difficult to shut windows and paint peeling. On a positive, the food in the restaurant was good and staff were all friendly. Lovely little village with some nice one off shops/cafes. I think the price is high for a basic pub...

Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs.”
