“It is a beautiful property, and I always have an excellent stay. The breakfast in the morning is good and the food for dinner in great. Convenient location.”

“I had a room with paper-thin walls. I could hear my next-door room neighbors late into the evening...they were just having a normal decibel conversation but the walls were so thin between us that it was all disruptive to falling asleep. I found the main manager when I checked in a bit off-putting. Her Fri comment that "I'm off after today and I need it" (in so many words), typified her manner throughout all interactions. “The accommodation is very clean, free hot drinks while we stayed and staff very nice, it could do with a lick of paint in certain areas. The location is amazing for walking to both Grasmere and Ambleside. We went to the local pub to watch the badgers. The grounds of Rydal Hall are beautiful and include the grot and a waterfall, Would stay again.”

“Great location close to the waterfront. Lots of charm and cozy factor, and helpful staff. Our room was clean, but showing a bit of wear and tear. Reception is in the restaurant, and you may have to wait for restaurant guests to check in. Parking can be difficult at peak times.”
