“We've been staying at the Trecarn Hotel in Torquay at least twice a year for the past 5 years as it's within 10 minutes walk of our son and his family , Its comfortable but basic ,I think it could do with a good freshen up .Sadly this time wasn't quite as good , we had 2 choices of room .Up 2 flights of stairs as the lift wasn't working or down 1 flight which we took as we both have knee problems. “Absolutely no good if have any mobile issues, lots of stairs to entrance and then depends which room you are in then more stairs. Lovely family running this and very close to marina and pubs, cares etc. Excellent bus service. Parking is not on site.”

“The owner/proprietor was very courteous, decent person. Along with his wife, he treated us very nicely. Room cost including breakfast was very reasonable. Location of the property was excellent. 3 minutes walk from the marina and sea front restaurants and takeaways.”
