“What a find! Motel Bear Lake was a last minute reservation for me. I got there late and the office was closed but I texted the number and immediately got a call back. The person walked me through getting into my room while I was still on the phone. The room was lovely, spotless, and full of little treats. A unique spot, truly. Would 100% stay again.”

“We loved our stay at the Coastal Inn! It is an older facility but kept up well, and just so quaint! We loved the location, walkable to so much in town. We stayed in the back with a view of the marsh and loved starting our day enjoying that view, seeing tons of wildlife, and listening to the birds and frogs. “Non of the above… or terrible experience.
There is no any signs of resort, no beach access or even rest area, just a cheap renovated MOTEL hidden behind a “resort” name not for the cheap price
All the red flags:
! BLUE towels and bedding ( god knows how properly they cleaned it)
! Stuff doesn’t inform you about the access code and incorrect information in general info about property ( they are not working 24 hours!)
! Very small sinks, bathtubs are just micro ! And dirty
! No space for your...

“We stayed in a family room. It is three double sized beds crammed into one room. I was so happy to find this option because my kids are not keen to share beds. We stayed in room 14. Unfortunately this room is in a converted garage behind the motel and although done well enough we still felt like we were in a garage. There is another family room in the other stall. We paid $258 and stayed one night.

“This cabin was a wonderful place to use as a base for our 3 women get-away. Although small, the cabin was comfortable and very nicely decorated. Everything you need is there. Its location is great, being between Beulah/Crystal Lake and Traverse City/Interlochen. We had a wonderful stay; highly recommended.”
