“Location was good and views from the seaview room was exactly that. Breakfast was good and the rooftop bar had great views.”

“Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay.”

“While there is nothing wrong with this hotel if you just want to sleep there, if you want food or drink find somewhere else. On Friday night they closed the bar at least half an hour early so we couldn’t get a drink, on Sunday they were short staffed so stopped serving food at 7pm so we had to eat crisps and nuts! The hotel is a long way from anywhere to nip and get food and drink, so please make sure you are suitably refreshed before coming back.”

“Great location for the South Coast Path. Bus stop to Torquay and Shaldon 3 minutes walk away. Very helpful staff. Room basic but clean with tea and coffee. Main village and cliff top with pubs a five minute walk. Easy to park in side streets even in August.”

“We had a sea view room. The weather was pretty hot and the room did not have enough ventilation due to the window safety. 4ins was not enough! So we spent as much time out of the room as we could..”
