“We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. “The room was adequate and comfortable for a two night stay, and although rated as a superior room, the photos are somewhat misleading (no easy chairs and table, let alone any space for any, as shown when booking). The breakfast selection was good, as was the overall dining experience, although we did find one of the main evening courses of poor quality. To the credit of the hotel they waived the cost of the dish without any hesitation or question, so full credit on that score. The drinks...
