Vacations Close To T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

Very poorly maintained hotel. It eas more like a motel. It hadn't been properly cleaned. Bathroom and kitchen was dirty. The linen had hair on it. I had to go to the store to buy cleaning supplies to clean the kitchen and bathroom. I requested new linens and towels. The bedroom closet door was falling off the hinges. There was mold growing around the air conditioning unit in the bedroom. There was also lots of water damage to the walls around the unit. And this was one of the two "penthouse" units. It contained 2 queen beds inside of a bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the main living room area. It was just tolerable enough for a quick last minute getaway with the kids. The only thing nice was the location and the pricing. I definitely wouldn't pay more than $150 per night for the accommodations.

It was a really nice room, with a beach view & near the pool and the bar (which wasn't open much as it was off-season). The wi-fi was in & out. They offer room service on request, and I only requested once as I only stayed a few days. The maintenance lady did a great job cleaning up my room. The parking situation isn't the best; it is $15 per night to park across the street. I don't feel that Expedia was clear about this, so not the motel's fault. It's an older property, but nice. I'd say between good and excellent is how I'd rate it. I would recommend it and I'll likely return again.

Will not be returning. Unsanitary bug infection. I have videos of bugs. Microwave didn't work. Toilet ran constantly. Took two days to get a working tv. Doggy park did not have any poop bags. Did not know dogs were not allowed on the beach until we arrived at motel. Room next door had a unregistered dog that barked constantly. Facility blamed our dogs. Like I said before. Bug's on our eating table. I have 4 videos.
