“The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. “The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”
