“The room was clean, staff nice enough , food ok, but generally the whole place was a bit grubby and the smell of old cooking oil a bit off putting when you walked in. The outside could do with some help generally and some real tlc. Yes parking good and dog friendly with some quiet lanes round the back to walk the dog in a pretty village and very interesting church yard.”

“I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“De accommodatie is rustig maar toch vlakbij het centrale gedeelte van Knighton. De kamer is van alles voorzien dat je mogelijks nodig hebt en het ontbijt is zelfbediening in de keuken van de host. De host is heel vriendelijk”

“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

“The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”
