“We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed).”

“A clean and well-maintained facility, especially considering its age. The room was a little small, but comfortable and adequate. The meals looked good and were well presented. However, the facility would benefit from some upgrades, particularly the installation of air conditioning. The fan provided was quite noisy, which made it less comfortable, especially at night.”

“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble.
