“A pleasant, convenient stopover on our road trip This was a really nice spot to break up our road trip. The on-site bar was a highlight, offering a great food and drink menu alongside warm, attentive service from the staff. Having a quality breakfast included in the stay was a definite plus and set us up well for the drive ahead. The room itself was slightly dated, but everything was clean, functional, and comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay...

The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. “Not far from train station Breakfast not the widest choices but ok for us. Room lovely, clean, looked recently decorated. Nice bedding. Nice ensuite bathroom nicely tiled, clean and new looking not the largest but it was a smaller room Coffee, tea, biscuits. Nice and warm and comfy bed.”

“A beautifully decorated house, extremely clean and well appointed with tea, coffe and biscuits in rooms. Breakfast is outstanding with local produce and home made muesli and fruit salad, plus award winning marmalade made by Giles. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the centre of town. Andrea is cheerful, efficient and caring at breakfast time”

“Es una casa de huéspedes más que un hotel. No es que eso sea malo, pero hay que saberlo antes. Habitación algo pequeña. Lo mejor, el desayuno tradicional inglés, muy bueno.”

“We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day.
