The breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh, tasty, and a wonderful way to start the day! The bedroom was also spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the excellent service. Even the off-site swimming pool is worthy to go with a small amount taxi fee for a family. Highly recommended!

Absolute fantastic place to stay, highly recommended with nothing to dislike. Credit to Rich, Ada and the team, felt home from home and part of their family. Knowledgeably about places to visit, eating out, parking. Nothing was a problem and owners on hand regular if anything needed. Definitely will return. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

What wonderful hosts and fantastic B&B! Rich and team were super friendly, helpful and attentive hosts: nothing was too much trouble. The house is tastefully decorated and immaculate throughout - you can see the care and attention that the owners have put into it! The location is great and parking is available. The breakfast is fantastic, with a help yourself buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals but also the choice of a range of lovely hot, freshly made dishes. Highly recommended and we would very happily stay again!

Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing, the room was lovely and clean and the breakfast everyday was great. Ada looked after us and made our stay very relaxed and enjoyable. Perfect location, near 2 towns so lots of choices of restaurants, bars and walks! Would highly recommend :)

The location is great, halfway between Windermere railway station and Bowness pier. The room is very big, perfectly clean and comfortable. Even though we were on the ground floor, we had a very nice view of greenery. The bathroom is also very big and clean. The owner is very nice and keen on making guests feel at home. We had excellent communication with him before and during our stay. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel is the breakfast. There is a big array of options, everything is tasty, excellently cooked and comes in generous portions. We had a great stay, everything went perfectly. We would gladly recommend the hotel.

We stayed at St John’s Lodge for 3 nights and had a lovely stop. The location is excellent as you’re in between Bowness & Windermere with plenty of options of evening meals and Rich is very knowledgeable to provide you with recommendations. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was, well… WOW! Incredible selection to choose from and incredibly delicious. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. The off site spa and pool was brilliant too, we were lucky that we had the pool to ourselves the entire time we was there!

We had a lovely stay, and upgraded at a fee, to a room on the ground floor which made accessibility much easier for me. The owner Rich and Adi were welcoming and helpful during and particularly at the end of our trip. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. It was all cooked fresh in the morning to order.(we made our meal choices the night before). The pool was about a 10 minute drive away and was quite busy with children when we went in late afternoon. Half of the small pool had 2 children getting swimming lessons. The spa part was very nice.

Fab stay at St John’s lodge and will definitely look to return. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Ada was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast variety was fantastic and the quality of the food was very good too. Easy walk to either Windermere or Bowness too with lots of options for food and drink.
