“Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing.”

“Habitaciones perfectamente limpias. No hay limpieza a diario (ni falta que hace), pero sí te ofrecen toallas nuevas y cualquier cosa que necesites. Obviamente, las instalaciones no son modernas. Es un hotel antiguo, histórico, y ahí radica buena parte de su encanto. Tuvimos un problema con la accesibilidad y lo resolvieron con gran amabilidad y eficacia. El pub del hotel es encantador, y el patio, delicioso para comer o tomar algo cuando hace buen tiempo.”

“We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! Highly recommend!”

“The check in process was remote on Monday evening at 20:00. Had been call the hotel all Monday afternoon to ask some question as sixth sense kicked in that check in might be an issue. Read on the website that phones are not staffed Monday and Tuesday!! Place is very tired, marked walls everywhere, a bit of cleaning and elbow greese would go a long way. Floors unswept for days. Breakfast cereal all over the dining area for days, very crunchy! Staff attire was sloppy and shoes dirty, kinda...

“A beautiful pub with stacks of character!! Cosy and inviting. Food was excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Locals also welcoming. The area is so picturesque it was a real treat. Would definitely return and planning to try out Sunday lunch sometime in winter to take advantage of the open fireplace. Miniscule gripe was it would be nice to have some nicer bread at breakfast rather than bog standard e.g. sourdough. But that is not a show stopper!! Definitely recommend, but be aware...

“Nice location in quiet village which was very handy for silverstone park & ride. Plenty of parking. Nice room with hotel overall having an oldy world feel. Staff were very friendly accommodating & helpful. Breakfast was included freshly cooked with good range of choices. Evening meal also very nice, good range, freshly cooked & reasonably priced although did take quite a while to arrive but was worth it. “We recently stayed at Longs Inn in Woburn for one night and, unfortunately, were quite disappointed. The property is in need of some updating and, overall, we found it looked tired, outdated and rather scruffy. Our bedroom had clearly been dusted and hoovered, and the bed itself was comfortable, but the furniture was very old and the room generally felt like it needed some investment.
