The parking is at the road edge ' not secure ' but ok. The railway line is close with regular trains, my room was very clean and nice linen, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, cooked full English was ok but it seemed they were trying too hard.

Comfortable Stay

I stayed here for two nights recently for an event nearby at Blackpit Brewery. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was good and I would stay here again.

The stay was flawless. Excellent sized rooms for a couple and child. Loads of space and very clean. Had a meal there as well and it was delicious. Breakfast as also superb. Staff were inviting and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The Walnut Tree Inn is a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the large, tastefully furnished, room and bathroom and the food in the bar was very good. The two negative points would be the train noise every 15-30 until late into the evening and the sink in the bathroom was too shallow to actually wash in.
