I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!”

“Very basic hotel, fine if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night. Hot taps are very hot and water pressure is very high, so difficult to get the flow and temperature right for a shower, without it being too hot or too cold, or blasting water horizontally. Shower curtain very small so bathroom floor is flooded after a shower. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable. I only booked this because nothing else was available (high demand due to BTCC at Thruxton). Staff was very friendly...

“The staff are really friendly and helpful, there’s a big car park and it’s in a great location. I wanted to say more positives but not sure I can. Breakfast is poor, portions are so small, they’d run out of loads of things, food was served still frozen and staff are super stressed and there clearly isn’t enough of them. The room is tiny. If two of you are staying with bags it’s really difficult and one of you is shuffling in a tiny gap to get in and out of bed. No bed side tables and no plugs...

“El Hotel es una auténtica maravilla!!! Lo primero que me sorprendió positivamente fue la atención recibida en recepción por los dos chicos que había (un chico español, Manuel, y otro chico inglés que no recuerdo su nombre). La habitación muy bonita, limpia y ordenada con salida directa al jardín. Y además pude disfrutar de la piscina, el spa, la terraza exterior y el gimnasio. Súper súper!!! Muchas gracias!!!
