“The breakfast buffet was excellent although the hot buffet would benefit from closed containers as the food soon became cold from the open ones. The rooms were well heated and ventilated. All the staff were excellent and very dog friendly. My only complaint was although I had asked for a ground floor room due to problems with my knees this was not available and I had to manage the stairs which was difficult. On the whole à very pleasant break”

“Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.”

“The the property and gardens, of course are phenomenal. This is an older. estate property so some issues can be expected with the conditions of the finishes. Unfortunately, with us being seniors, it was very difficult for us to get our luggage to the third floor by stairs. The size of the rooms are also quite small but clean. Furniture in the room was appropriate for the period and comfortable. The staff was very helpful in trying to resolve outside issues such as Parking in town which is not...

“The room was clean beside a blood stain on one of the duvets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue as the road was being resurfaced, but the staff did tell us where the best place to park was. The breakfast was excellent, it really set us up for a day in the hills. Overall a good value room for visiting the Lakes.”
