Fantastic, clean room with lots of space, a seating area too. Bathroom big. Evening meal was lovely. Breakfast has a large variety which was fresh and lovely. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach with stunning views. The staff are amazing and very friendly. The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious. Myself and my wife stay here for weekends all the time and won't stay anywhere else.

Summary - great location, fantatstic room, eat somewhere else. We had a lovely room overlooking the beach. It was warm and comfortable. Reception staff were lovely. I would not recommend eating here. The food is less than average - not even the basics right. Awful chips, over zapped baked potato, both meals swimming in shop bought coleslaw and salad full of massive chunks of raw onion. The packed lunch looked like it had been made in the dark and my apple was rotten. Packet grated cheese covered in cornstarch for cooking just fell out, along with last night's salad with those big bits of raw onion. Restaurant staff not nearly as friendly as reception. Go to Whitehaven for supper!

Ideal location. Lovely views and walks. Amazing shower. very clean room.. Good comfort food with big portions. Staff outstanding , super friendly . Coffee and Tea in room, nice toiletries. Local bus stops right outside, local train service 5 minutes walk. Good beachcafe just outside, Comfortable lounge and relaxing area. Plenty local info on the Lake District. i would return. A really nice stay, our room looked very newly refurbished, new paints, carpets, furniture and a great bathroom with huge walk-in shower. Very good value for money, we’ll stay again.
