“Lovely quiet location, superb room in the cottage opposite the main pub. Food was lovely and catered for my gluten free requirements. We only stayed one night but would love to go back with our dog and check out the local walks for a weekend.”

The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company...

“Overall a lovely stay. Our room was large, clean & comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden area. Good to have a fridge in the hot weather. We also appreciated the USB ports & other amenities. Comfortable armchairs & a comfotable bed, although the bedding was a little excessive for the hot weather - easy to remove the top layer though. The lovely bathroom was also a good size with a seperate bath & shower. Our only frustration was the early morning traffic noise - we had to open...

“We were a bit disappointed with this. I’d say the pictures on the site are very flattering. We arrived in the evening to lots of building and maintenance materials outside the front and in the entrance area. Not the best start. The member of staff who met us was pleasant and helpful. The room was only ok, clean enough but not great. It was just for one stopover for an early flight and the location for that purpose is good.
