“The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. “The room was very clean, and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was extremely clean. The hotel is located very close to both town centre and train station. Staff very helpful. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.”

“Not so much as a hand soap dispenser which I wish they had made clearer when booking as I did smell and needed a shower. Too far from anywhere to ‘nip out’ for essentials such as soap. Room smelled musky and the windows would not open more than an inch. No fan provided.”
