Beautiful property. Perfect for a quick getaway.

This is so close to being a great hotel, and the staff were really nice. But the strong musty/mold/mildew smell in all the hallways and rooms (coming from the carpet I think) is a HUGE negative. Also, the rooms could use some updating from the standpoint of modern conveniences — in particular, the limited number of outlets in the room was a bother. Strong food/beverage program and great location and nice staff, but they have some work to do to really be a proper luxury property.

The property as a whole was very clean and well maintained. However, the floor in room 523 was pretty awful and needs to be refinished. The managers reception was one of our highlights of the whole trip, great selection of drknks and fancy snacks. Try the porch with rocking chairs by the reception room.

It is a beautiful small B&B. Nicole was lovely and everything was clean and well decorated. My only complaint would be the lack of an innkeeper to greet us. It felt sterile and disconnected when we arrived. Would have been nice to be able to ask questions about the area and house. They don't have to sleep there..but be on property for a few hours for check in. In our automated society the human touch cannot be replaced.
