“Excellent stay, big thanks to the staff!”

“There is plenty of parking space, and it's easy to find the Lodge. All the expected room facilities are present: good decor, bed, towels and bathroom;, a warm and comfortable space. I couldn't dock a star, especially at the price we paid. Of course, there are things that could be improved! The kettle boiled just enough for the two very small mugs; our (own) teapot took 2 boilings to fill. It would be nice to have more than the bare minimum of cutlery so as not to have to wash forks after...

“A wonderful place to stay, our room on the first floor was beautiful and spotlessly clean as was every were else. The food was excellent and all the staff were lovely and very helpful we would definitely recommend ”

“We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which...

“We stayed in one of pet friendly rooms which was lovely built on to the side of the pub and came with out door seating . We had our evening meal in the bar with our spaniel which was lovely .the staff were lovely and made us really welcome ”
