“There was nothing we didn't like about the Hotel. The whole hotel has had a massive upgrade / renovation and for the cost of the accommodation, it represents top value. We ate at the restaurant , ( reluctantly ) after reading some less favorable reviews , and decided the reviewers, who had left those reviews must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. “If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”

“It had everything we needed for a one nights stay. The only thing we couldn’t find was the switch for the heating as we did need to take the chill off now it’s getting cooler. Despite the fire alarm going off and no one knowing what to do at 5am we had a pleasant stay”

“Stopped 2 nights,room was tidy and clean, parking was right outside the room plenty of parking available, we were little bit early for booking in the young man on reception came out to meet us and couldn't do enough for us to settle in, Breakfast was really good plenty of choice, and I must say the pretty young lady that was on duty in the restaurant was very helpful and cooked a lovely English breakfast, sincerely hope things get better for you in the future.”

“Staff were extremely obliging and helpful, although a little overrun at times. Parking very spacious. Balcony rooms were lovely with views way across the hills and along the river. Breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented, although it would have been good to have muesli and fresh fruit as an additional choice to the cooked dishes. Our push bikes were kept nice and secure. We were a little apprehensive that the motorbike cafe and theme would be noisy especially at night but the bikers were...

“What a lovely room at the top of a pub. Beautifully presented and pristine and lots of space although steep steps. There are a few quirks as to be expected in an old building but that didn’t put us off as we ourselves live in an old property. Communication was very good. Thank you for having us 😊”
