Vacations Close To Notorious Ranch

The room was clean, were you opened the entrance front door room was smelling,the balcony the maintenance team needed to clean the cigarette from the roof.

The room was spotless, maid service outstanding, liked the renovations that were done. Free parking 2 minute walk to Super Foods market. Pool was very nice. Easy check in and check out. Peaceful at night. Owner took care of anything we asked of him.

If you’re at a point in your Expedia search where you’re debating between this hotel and something like The Ritz or St. Regis at comparable cost, I’d recommend going with one of those instead. We made a mistake thinking a new Hilton property would be on par with those brands — and in so many ways, it was not. The property itself is nice, but it has more of a Punta Cana resort feel than an Aruba feel. What I mean is: it’s clearly a commercial hotel attempting to compete with 5-star properties. The rooms are beautiful, quiet, and well thought out. But the experience around the property suggests they cut corners on guest experience. Beach loungers require reservations — which wouldn’t be nearly as frustrating if you didn’t also have to pay $40 to rent them. We had loungers reserved and they were still taken by other guests when we arrived. Loungers — cheap, rubbery, not the kind of quality seating you’d expect for an $800+/night resort. On top of that, part of the beach was closed off early for a private wedding during our stay. The amenities weren’t much better. The spa was shut down for a video shoot, and the gym was closed for maintenance — so for the two days we were there, we didn’t get to use a single amenity we were paying for. The hotel tefubded the ~$150 resort fee All food comes with an additional service charge that does not include tips and the staff reminded us of this frequently.
