“We enjoyed our stay but got lost a few times because we couldn't work out the lift system ! The room was lovely but the wet room really got very wet the water covered a lot of the floor! The food was very good too”

“It was nice to stay in an older building in the area to feel the historic charm, but the slanted hallways, stairs and uneven floor boards in the room took away from the charm and instead signaled a lack of investment. We spent most of our time outside the hotel so I can't really comment on the amenities.”

“We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop. It was great to pop out in the morning to grab still warm eggs from the chicken coop, and the goats and piglets kept us thoroughly amused. A really relaxing stay.”

“Really enjoyed our stay, we felt the spa but it was quite crowded only small number of sunbeds. Room was nice but it was quite dated.”

“The house was spacious and cosy. Plenty of outdoor space for the children to play. Plenty of games to play, lots of butterflies and bees and swings in the trees. Shame the ponds were dried up because of the heat but the areas are lovely. An amazing holiday for our family. Thank you.”

“Standards have fallen at the Westleton Crown. Outside, several car park bays were inexplicably cordoned off so there was a shortage of available spaces. Inside there was a bucket catching a leak from a skylight in the main dining room. The corridor, staircase and bedroom carpets are dirty and worn. The seat in our WC fell off. Overall, the decor is old, tired and in urgent need of an uplift. We will certainly think carefully before booking the Crown again anytime soon, and we will certainly not...

“Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt en ook het restaurant waren uitstekend. Echter, onze kamer was redelijk schoon bij onze komst, maar is daarna niet schoongemaakt. Het bed werd meestal niet opgemaakt. Vuile theekopjes bleven gewoon staan. De vloer is niet gestofzuigd. Zeep en shampoo werden niet aangevuld. Na klachten besloot de 'general manager' dat we niet hoefde te betalen voor het ontbijt, een bedrag van ongeveer €180.”
