Vacations Close To Fort Lewis Museum

Much like having a private room at a hostel. Its an excellent location for those wanting to experience the most of down town, but quiet it is not. The room was clean and nice, but the shower was very cold and we could hear the elevator all night. The internet was pretty spotty and unreliable, but having a kitchen was nice and it is in a great location. Just evaluate what you want from a hotel before booking. There is also no staff. Kinda confused on that one.

The Mediterranean Inn appeared to have been through a recent renovation but the details were not completed. Wall sconces not attached properly, toilet roll holder that kept coming apart and the elevators are painfully slow. However, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooftop deck has great views and there is onsite parking but with a fee of $40 per night. Parking should be included!

The only good thing about this place is the staff. They were super nice. The lobby is nice. But otherwise the hotel is old, super dark, and creepy. And there was a huge mirror that faced the bed and I simply could not sleep. I had to leave the lights on all night. Plus there was an old wood smell. I know it’s a historic building but I felt like I couldn’t breathe fresh air. The neighborhood wasn’t that great either but really convenient to other locations. I asked to check out a day earlier but couldn’t get a refund for my second night. I checked out earlier anyways and saw my well earned money go down the drain. I just could not relax there and didn’t want to stay another day or night. Sorry to say but I would not recommend this hotel. Besides being branded historic it was just old and over priced. Keep in mind it also has no elevator but you can request someone to help you with your bags (and tip them of course ). I would rather pay $50 more to get a way nicer hotel. I do not recommend booking here.
