“Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“Clean and cosy”

“The room was lovely and clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. The WiFi throughout was good enough to stream tv and the restaurant was great. We had dinner and breakfast and couldn’t fault either. If we are back in the area we would define stay again.”

“Great location close to the waterfront. Lots of charm and cozy factor, and helpful staff. Our room was clean, but showing a bit of wear and tear. Reception is in the restaurant, and you may have to wait for restaurant guests to check in. Parking can be difficult at peak times.”

“Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”
